Ingredients:
150g Damin
150g Mevalia
1 tea spoon of sugar
1 tea spoon of salt
20g fresh yeast
1/2 tea spoon of baking powder
100ml LP warm drink
100ml warm water
2 spoons olive oil
yolk for brushing a dough before baking /not required, you can also use olive oil
1. Dissolve sugar and yeast in warm milk to form a yeast. 2. In the second bowl, add other ingredients except warm water, which is added at the end with yeast. 3. By combining all the ingredients, we make a dough, which we cover and let it rest for 1 hour in a warm place. The right consistency of the dough is shown in the picture below.
4. Cut the dough into pieces of a similar size and shape them into a long ´bread stick´. I used both longer metal skewers but also classic wooden skewers.
5. We rotate each ´bread stick´ around the skewer so that the olives fit into each gap created when rolling over the skewer- see the picture below.
6. Before baking, brush the dough with olive oil or yolk. I used both olive oil and little bit of yolk. 7. Bake at 200 degrees until golden. I baked using the program the upper and lower heating for about 15-20 minutes.
