Ingredients:
Mevalia flour: 250g
Melted butter:35g
Warm watter: 150ml
Salt: 1 tea spoon
Brown sugar: 1 tea spoon
Fresh yeast: 12g
Sodium bicarbonate: 60g
Boiling water: 1litre
1 egg yolk for brushing the top before baking (not required)
Process:
First, start with mixing yeast with 50ml of warm water and 1 tea spoon of sugar.
In a bowl, prepare the rest of the ingredients and add yeast.
Make a dough and leave it to rise for at least 30 minutes.
4. After the dough has rised, place it onto a board. This dough will be shaped into rolls, pretzels or other shapes, so the dough should be a little sticky, therefore do not sprinkle a flour onto a board so that it is easy to make different shapes with it.
5. Create whatever shapes you like.
6. Bring 1 litre of water to boil and add 60 g of Sodium bicarbonate. Put every piece of a roll into the boiling water for 30 seconds and then place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
7. Brush the top of pastries and rolls with egg yolk- not required.
8. Bake at 180 degrees arround 20 minutes.
And Bon Apetit :)
Your recipe blog is amazing. I'm a PKU living in Japan. Unfortunately I don't have access to some of the ingredients you have listed but I will try to make some of the recipes I can. -
